Two delegates from the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Socialist Youth visited The Democratic People's Republic of Korea

From June 24 to July 1, 2010, on the invitation of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, a two- member delegation from the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Socialist Youth paid a visit to DPRK and participated in the 2nd international preparatory meeting of the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students chaired by President of the World Federation of Democratic Youth Tiago Alexandre Ferraz Vieiraz.

During their stay in DPRK, the delegates with delegations of youth and students from various countries and regions conducted effective working sessions within the preparatory meeting, enlisted the opportunity for some bilateral talks and took part in some exchange activities with Korean youth and students. They visited Kumsusan Memorial Palace, Mankyungdae (President Kim Il Sung’s native village), International Friendship Exhibition, Panmunjom, and some cultural and educational premises in Pyongyang and provinces. The delegations were extended a courtesy visit and given a cordial talk by President of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly Kim Yong Nam.
